Project Background

AusNet Services was looking to increase the gas supply capacity for its distribution network (specifically at Moolap, Hoppers Crossing, and New Gisborne).

Client:

AusNet

Location:

Victoria

OGP's Role:

Engineering Services

The OGP Solution

OGP Group was engaged to assist by:

  • Preparing a separate Design & Construct Scope of Works Document for all three locations.
  • Review AusNet Services’ existing gas network to identify areas where an increase in gas capacity could be found.
  • Review the proposed upgrades to ensure the required operational parameters were met.

Regarding New Gisborne upgrade, OGP Group identified a more cost-effective solution to enhance the gas network’s capacity. AusNet Services reviewed and accepted this recommendation as the preferred approach for the upgrade. Consequently, the Design & Construct Scope of Works was modified to align with this new upgrade strategy.

The Outcome

OGP Group’s comprehensive engineering solutions, particularly in identifying a more cost-effective method for our client to achieve their objectives, were crucial to the success of this project. This outcome reflected our commitment to excellence in critical infrastructure development.
