The Lilyvale Solar Farm is a single axis tracking solar farm with an export capacity of 100MW located in Emerald, QLD. OGP provided an integrated engineering and project delivery team to assist the EPC contractor with the engineering and design review of their electrical design, civil and structural engineering validation for the plant including project delivery support. Additionally, we offered technical support to ensure compliance with requirements of the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and the transmission network service provider (TNSP).

Integrated Engineering & Project Delivery
Our in-house team was involved in several ways, which contributed to the tracking structure for the farm. This includes:
By conducting a thorough review of the project’s short circuit studies, OGP identified that the future prospective short circuit rating could potentially exceed the 33kV switchgear rating. To address this issue, we designed, procured, and managed the installation of a fault limiter.
Our team also successfully navigated the project’s technical, budgetary, and scheduling challenges, along with the environmental and labour hire challenges inherent to such a remote site.
