OGP's Role:

Project Delivery Services

The OGP Solution

OGP project management team took responsibility for a variety of tasks that contributed to the upgrade which included:

  • Project management of the Front-End Development and Engineering phase of the project.
  • Risk management, schedule, and cost management.
  • Stakeholder management across internal and external parties.
  • Vendor and EPC review and contractor negotiation support.

The Outcome

By collaborating closely with the two EPC contractors responsible for the turbine and the generator, OGP developed a schedule that maximised the use of the overhead crane. Due to the design and construction of the turbine and the generator being handled by two independent parties, this approach effectively minimised project risk to the greatest extent possible.
